Oral Rehabilitation

With advanced techniques and a tailored approach, our oral rehabilitation team helps improve patients’ quality of life.

Oral rehabilitation is the area of dentistry that restores a patient’s ability to chew, speak, and smile with confidence, reestablishing harmony between the teeth, gums, muscles, and temporomandibular joint.

Permanent tooth loss can have serious effects on self-esteem, health, and overall quality of life.

Fixed Dental Prostheses

Fixed prostheses, such as crowns and bridges, cannot be removed by the patient.

A crown is a type of restoration that connects to an implant or covers a tooth, restoring the appearance and function of teeth that are decayed, fractured, or endodontically treated, providing a natural look and feel. A bridge replaces missing teeth and is supported by adjacent teeth or implants.

Crowns and bridges should be treated like natural teeth, as decay can occur on the remaining tooth structure. It is therefore important to brush regularly, use dental floss, and apply fluoride.

Inlays, onlays and overlays

Inlays, onlays, and overlays are restorations cemented to the tooth to replace the affected area. They are increasingly popular due to their strength and durability while maintaining a natural and imperceptible appearance. Each of these restorations offers a customized solution, preserving the natural tooth structure.

Removable Dental Prostheses

Removable dental prostheses can be complete or partial, depending on the number of missing teeth. Their main purpose is to restore chewing function and aesthetics, both in the posterior and anterior areas.

Complete dentures are supported by the gums or by dental implants. Partial dentures are supported by the gums and adjacent teeth. The shape and colour of the teeth are selected according to your individual facial features, and elements of your natural teeth can be incorporated.

Removable prostheses may require adjustments to prevent movement during speaking and chewing. They should also be cleaned daily with specific products to avoid bad breath, fungal infections, irritation, and gum inflammation.

Implant-Supported Prostheses

Permanent tooth loss can have serious effects on self-esteem, health, and overall quality of life.
Removable prostheses are often limited by the underlying bone, which resorbs after tooth loss. Implant-supported prostheses (non-removable by the patient, fixed to implants) are generally less bulky and offer the appearance and comfort of natural teeth.
