Posterior aesthetics

Sometimes posterior restorations need to be replaced due to underlying decay (secondary caries) or because they are unesthetic or fractured.

In this case, the old restoration was infiltrated (secondary caries was present). Since it needed replacement, we decided to place a composite resin that is equally strong but more aesthetic. The patient regained confidence when chewing and could laugh freely again!
