Plastic periodontal surgery

Today, gum recessions are no longer an unsolvable problem. With a small plastic periodontal surgery, we can restore the gum to its ideal position.

Gum recessions can have multiple causes. From trauma due to brushing, unfavourable tooth position, or anatomical factors, the gums may recede from their ideal location and lead to structural problems (such as lack of root protection), hypersensitivity, or aesthetic concerns.

In this case, the canine had an exposed root. Through gum surgery, within the specialty of periodontology, it was possible to cover the area, allowing the patient to smile again with confidence and without increased sensitivity. With the proper change in brushing habits, it is possible to maintain healthy gums for many more years.
