Orthodontics

The orthodontic treatment promotes tooth movement and orthopaedic action allowing alveolar bone remodelling through the tooth movement and bone remodelling of the jawbones through orthopaedic forces.

We provide high complexity orthodontic treatment for young to adult age. The appliances might be fixed or removable, and through a constant low force in a controlled direction they correct the teeth position.

In children and adolescents, the skeletal disharmonies may be treated with fixed appliances and in some cases orthopaedic appliances. In adults, apart from fixed appliances, orthognathic surgery may also be indicated. Nonetheless, there is a solution for every occlusion at any age.

Perfectly aligned teeth suffer less occlusal wear, promote and facilitate oral hygiene and maintain healthy gums preventing against tooth decay or periodontal problems.

It is generally advised to make your first visit to the orthodontist around 6 years old, but there is no minimum age if recommended by the dentist or paediatrician.

AESTHETIC ALIGNERS

Invisalign® uses 3D computer imaging technology to plan and map the orthodontic treatment. It is a series of clear custom-molded aligners.

Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and gradually moves your teeth, before being replaced by the next series until the final position is achieved.

The greatest advantage of the Invisalign® are the clear, virtually invisible aligners, which are not as noticeable as conventional braces.

Furthermore, these aligners are easy to insert and remove, making cleaning the aligners easier and improving your oral hygiene.
